Les Amis d'Hauterive

Créée dès 1952, l'Association des Amis de l'Abbaye d'Hauterive regroupe toutes les personnes sympathisantes qui souhaitent marquer leur attachement concret à la communauté des moines par le partage du charisme cistercien, la participation aux différents événements marquant la vie du monastère ou qui, plus généralement, se sentent proches de l'abbaye et désirent lui témoigner leur amitié.

Elle compte actuellement environ 4600 membres originaires de toute la Suisse ou de l'étranger, qui se voient convier à diverses occasions, parmi lesquelles la rencontre annuelle organisée lors de la tenue de l'Assemblée générale (AG). Si l'aspect strictement statutaire de cette manifestation est honoré, c'est tout autant et surtout son côté convivial qui se voit privilégié : Messe solennelle, apéritif et repas, AG s'achevant toujours par une causerie donnée par des intervenants de qualité s'exprimant sur un thème en rapport avec la vie monastique.

Par son aide appréciable, l'Association apporte aux moines un soutien non négligeable en prenant à sa charge tout ou partie du financement de certains mandats décidés en concertation avec la communauté : participation à la restauration ou à la rénovation de certains éléments ciblés du patrimoine (bâtiments, mobilier, oeuvres d'art, etc.), publications diverses, soutien ponctuel de telle ou telle manifestation, aide financière au profit de la Fondation d'Hauterive, etc.

Moyennant le versement annuel d'une cotisation (CHF 20.- actuellement par personne individuelle et CHF 50.- pour les personnes morales ; CHF 350.- pour une cotisation à vie versée en une fois), toute personne ou insti- tution peut faire partie de l'Association après s'être régulièrement inscrite. Il suffit d'en faire la demande. L'inscription permet de recevoir une fois l'an la Chronique de Noël ("Altaripana") qui retrace les événements marquants vécus par la communauté durant l'année.

The Friends of Hauterive Created in 1952, the ''Association of the Friends of the Abbey of Hauterive'' regroups people who have sympathy for and who wish to show their concrete attachment to the community of monks by sharing in the Cistercian charisma, by participating in the various events that mark the life of the monastery, or who, more generally, feel close to the Abbey and wish to show their friendship in a material way . The Association counts, at the moment, about 4600 members from Switzerland and abroad, who are invited on diverse occasions, among which, the annual meeting organised at the same time as the General Assembly (GA). If the statutory aspect of this manifestation is strictly honoured, it is, as well and above all, the convivial side that is privileged : Solemn Mass, aperitif and a meal. The GA always ends with a talk given by competent people who speak about an aspect of monastic life. By its appreciable help, the Association gives to the monks a non-negligible support by taking charge of all or part of the financing of certain mandates in agreement with the community : participation in the restoration or the renovation of certain targeted elements of the patrimony (buildings, works of art, furniture, etc), diverse publications, sporadic support for such or such manifestation, financial help to the profit of the Hauterive Foundation. etc By payment of an annual subscription of (20 CHF at the moment ; 50 CHF for institutions) anybody can become part of the Association after having been correctly registered . You just have to ask. The inscription means that once a year you receive the Christmas Chronicle (Altaripana), which retraces the main events that the community have experienced during the year.
